Bouvé Today

The Department of Physical Therapy, Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences continues preparing students for service in a global health field through its unique combination of didactic and practical education. On service learning and academic exchange opportunities, students have traveled from Switzerland to South Africa, Ecuador to China, returning not only with a fuller understanding of foreign health systems but also with hands-on experience. Committed to supporting urban services, the department has cultivated relationships with schools and nonprofit clinics in the neighborhoods surrounding Northeastern. A curriculum of classroom and clinical learning, professional engagement, research, and civic-mindedness comprises six years of physical therapy education at Bouvé.
